These standards apply when merchants, support agents, customers, and other users access Shoply AI websites, applications, AI features, live chat, search, APIs, and related services (the “Services”). They are intended to keep customer-support conversations safe, useful, lawful, and respectful.
Do not use the Services to threaten, harass, bully, stalk, shame, or intimidate another person. Content that promotes hatred, dehumanization, or discrimination based on protected characteristics is prohibited. Support conversations may be candid or critical, but they must not be used to target or abuse people.
Do not use the Services to create, request, upload, or distribute:
sexual exploitation or abuse content, including any sexual content involving minors;
credible threats, instructions to commit violence, or content that celebrates serious injury;
content that encourages suicide, self-harm, eating disorders, or other dangerous behavior;
human trafficking, exploitation, or non-consensual intimate content; or
content intended to facilitate the illegal sale of weapons, controlled substances, or other regulated goods.
Shoply is not an emergency service. If someone faces immediate danger, contact local emergency services.
Do not use the Services for fraud, phishing, impersonation, deceptive sales practices, money laundering, intellectual-property infringement, illegal surveillance, evasion of sanctions, or any activity that violates applicable law or another person’s rights.
Do not expose another person’s private information without authorization, attempt to obtain passwords or authentication tokens, upload malware, probe or disrupt systems, bypass access controls, scrape the Services without permission, or use customer information for an unrelated purpose. Merchants and agents must access customer conversations only as needed to provide authorized support.
Do not send unsolicited bulk messages, manufacture fake customer interactions, misrepresent AI output as verified fact, manipulate reviews or metrics, evade usage limits, create accounts to avoid enforcement, or interfere with another user’s ability to use the Services.
Businesses using Shoply must provide accurate support contact information, limit staff access appropriately, respond promptly to safety or abuse concerns, and follow laws that apply to their products and customers. Merchants remain responsible for the content, products, policies, and support practices they provide through Shoply.
Report suspected violations, offensive messages, or urgent account-safety concerns to customer-obsession@shoplyai.ai. Include the store name, approximate date and time, conversation or session identifier if available, and a description of the concern. Do not send passwords, payment-card numbers, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Shoply may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, restrict features, block abusive activity, suspend or terminate access, preserve evidence, or notify the responsible merchant. We may contact law enforcement or emergency services when required by law or when necessary to address a credible risk of serious harm. Enforcement decisions consider context, severity, history, and the risk to users or the Services.
To request review of an enforcement decision, email customer-obsession@shoplyai.ai with the account or store identifier and the reason for the appeal.
We may update these standards as the Services, risks, and legal requirements change. The updated date above identifies the current version. Material changes will be communicated when required by law or our agreements.
